The use of restraining devices like handcuffs and blindfolds in intercourse and foreplay is known as bondage. Bondage comes in a variety of forms, and the most common is mild bedroom bondage, where one of the partners volunteers to get tied up or blindfolded during foreplay. Bondage is a subculture of BDSM, which encompasses bondage and discipline as well as sadism, masochism, dominance and submission.
There are two roles that each of the partners can take. One is the dominant one while the other is the submissive one. The submissive one gets tied up while the dominant one may sexually stimulate them through masturbation, stroking or kissing. The dominant one may get aroused by seeing the submissive one writhe in frustration.
Bondage is characterized by latex wear. The appeal of latex wear is that when it is stretched tightly, it tends to reflect colors, which acts as a visual stimulus. Black latex miniskirts and bras are common outfits. However, latex wear is not limited to just the traditional designs. Nowadays, those in to role playing can often find their favourite costumes in latex. Latex wear has certainly managed to make bondage a more identifiable activity.
Apart from the latex wear dress code, bondage also calls for the use of many types of sex toys and props. Furry whips, blindfolds, handcuffs, collars and spreader bars are all a part of the arsenal of someone who is in to bondage.
Bondage is commonly practiced by those of both genders as well as people of all sexual orientations. A lot of people dabble in soft bondage to keep their sex life exciting and current. Many believe that having one of their senses deprived calls for a lot of trust between the two partners, and that this is a great trust building exercise.
